new guy questions
i recently purchased a 1.8 04 a4 sport w/ cvt and i need some advice on a few things:
how can i hook up my amp/ box to the stock bose head unit?
will the following size rim and tire fit? 18inch 8.5 4inch back space with 245/45/18 tires?
my helogen head light are not leveling at the same angle how do you fix this?
next to the light swith is a button that can be pull out what do this control?
since their is not way of checking the transmition fluid do you ever have to have it serviced?
i would like to replace the traction conrol button is this complicated?
thanks for the help.
one more thing other service or mod advice would be cool too.

welcome to the forum
you can adjust ur headlights with a philips sceww driver, there should be able to find them them if u looked
if u pull out the switch it turns on the front fog lights and if u pull it out one more click it turns on the rear fog light
dont use the rear unless it is foggy AND YOU ONLY HAVE ONE RERAR FOG LIGHT
audi says u never have to change the tranny fluid but who knows
and u can replace the traction control button i guess

welcome to the forums. ok first thing to know bout this forum. there is a search tool and we recommend that you use it when you have questions. but ur new and probly didnt know that so now you know. to answer ur questions:
u can hook it up to stock headunit but there is a part u need. forgot what the guy said ut its like 10 bucks at most. just go to any decent audio place and tell them what kinda car u have and they'll know right off the bat.
rims should fit just fine but i dunno bout the sport tuned suspension. almost positive tho.
headlights, all you need is a screwdriver, phillips if i recall.
one click for fog lights and 2 clicks for rear fog light. notice it is only one rear fog light and if you keep them on a cop will stop you and write you a ticket for a brake light being out. just don't even bother with the fog lights unless its actually really foggy.
the transmission fluid is supposed to be a lifetime fluid but people on here will recommend you get it changed down the road at some point cause its better for your car. u shouldn't have to worry until like 80-100K tho. and dont even tihnk bout doin it yourself. you need a vag com to monitor the fluid temp and when it just right you have to have the car at just the right level to do it. Just take it to the stealership.
traction control button doesn't seem like it would be too difficult
i think i was nice this time. dont you guys?

add a switch for something? (ie: city light switch maybe?)
is there a symbol on the button? if so - check the manual...
cool name by the way - (that is a Shaolin reference right?)

For hooking up an additional amp to your stock Bose stereo for a subwoofer, check out www.a4mods.com. There are several very good DIY write-ups with pictures on there.
