Default New Guy Who Needs Help!

Hello all, I just purchased a 96 Audi A4 2.8, and i don't know too much about the car. I have owned many Hondas and a couple Nissans and that has been what I have based my knowledge off of.

I have heard that this model is the hardest one to actually get any cheap power out of. I have already grown to see that there isn't very many parts for this and the parts that are out are pricy.

Make a long story short I would like to know any advice you guys have for me on my build up and I would like to know the pro's and con's of this car. You can be as honest as you want, my local forums are filled with a lot of punks so I will take it very lightly.

Thanks in advance.

Please fill my head with all the smarts you guys have.

Congrats, however there are no cheap hp gains to be had from this platform. Reason being its a heavy 12V none turbo which is rated at about 170hp, yea its slow to begin with. An intake, exhaust and $300 chip would get only about 20hp. A $5000+ supercharger gets you about another 90hp. I doubt if they even make a SC for the 96 model. That been said you have a safe, reliable, euro thats very nice overall.

There are no chips or Superchargers made for your car just a myth from one company that no one has ever seen in a car and some people who laid money out for a kit never got it.

The only thing going for you is a solid engine with good reliability.
