lol ok ill try and help here............. If and when you sell your jeep you should really.. IMO... look for a bit newer one like a 98 99 they have better motors like the 1.8t or if you get the v6 they have the 30v not the pos 12v ........ not alot of big problems with audis but you do have to maintain then just like any other car so look for a car thats got a service history and make sure it was taken care of...... timing belts are a thing to watch for too cuz the tensioners have a tendeancy to fail and thats never fun so if your looking at cars above 70k make sure the T belt has been done

1.8T engine is very reliable. But as a turbocharged engine it is more complex than the 2.8 and thus, there are more things to go wrong.
The base cars are high-end german comfort, but are not FAST. They are over engineered for their output to increase reliability. For the 1.8T there are numerous cheap (and expensive) mods that can greatly increase power. For the 2.8, there are few options to increase power, so what you see is what you get.
The 1.8T is prone to engine sludge, so see if the seller has been scrupulous at changing his oil regularly with synthetic.
Common problems are front control arms (Squeeking if you go slowly over bumps) outer tie rods (Clunks when you do same), faded pixels on the central instrument cluster (500 dollars to replace).
Make sure the car is quattro, a standard transmission (if you want to REALLY push the engine output), and have it checked by a mechanic before you buy.
If you want out of the box power, get an S4 2.7T
