Default New here with questions

Hello Everyone

I’ve been lurking around this forum for a while now, but I did not officially join until yesterday when I picked up my 2003 A4 3.0 Quattro. The car only had 11,800 miles on it and it’s in great condition. Because it was used and there were a few things missing that the dealership promised to get me. First the Owners manual is missing (which I think would answer a lot of my questions), floor mats, and the extra key. I was wondering if someone here would be able to help me out with a few questions.

#1 I'm unable to program my Homelink to my garage. I had homelink on my last car so I figured the process would be the same, but its not. Does anyone know the process for the HomeLink on our cars?

#2 Is there anyone here that works at a Audi parts dealership that is able to get discounted parts? For example at the last Forum I use to attend we had a guy that worked at a Nissan dealership and was able to get us discounted parts and ship them out to use as well. The reason I ask is because I'm in the market to get floor mats that were missing

#3 Does our stereos have the option to add XM radio? I have the Bose Premium Sound System and down the line I would like to add this without putting in an aftermarket stereo.

Thanks for your help!

1. That info is in your manual.

2. People who work at dealerships don't normally declare they will get everyone discounted parts. They do this for friends and close acquaintances on the forums. Get to know the members here before asking for favors. Never know who you will get to know.

3. Yes I believe the 2003's had an XM option from the factory so adding it is most likely a possibility.

Welcome to the forum omar0022!

This is a great site. We keep the dialogue friendly and the attitude positive. The info is well received by all and we are here to help anyone with questions about their Audi or related subjects. It is a great site to find camaraderie with other "Audiphiles", too. I hope you find it to your liking.

If you're not familiar with this forum and the vocabulary, please click HERE or you can, at any time, go to the "New Member Welcome Area" forum and click on the "START HERE!" post at the top of the forum. There you will find a forum vocab list, an Audi forum terminology list and an Audi lexicon list. They should be very helpful to you if you're not familiar with the jargon.

Please feel free to ask any question, but double check the archives first. Many questions have been archived and, quite often, the answers are comprehensive.

If you want to notify us about a personal problem with the site or file a complaint about a particular member, please feel free to PM the Admin, me, or any other moderator. We will keep your PM confidential and respond as soon as possible. Otherwise, please feel free to post public messages about the forum on the "Forum Issues" forum (found at the bottom of the main menu). It is there that we prefer you "test" your sig, too.

We all welcome you and hope you find this sight informative and enjoyable.

*sniffle sniffle* How come I never got welcomed to the forum?

Check the classified section for deals Omar. Otherwise there are just a boat load of websites out there that offer great prices on audi parts.

Hey..there is something fishy about that welcome..I think we have an imposter on our hands Marcus!

-the links don't work
-some words aren't bolded
-multiple welcomes in one post
-the post was not done by a moderator
-the post was not done by ImolaS4

..oh I'm on to you shon! You can't pull one by me!
