Oh i didnt think you were knocking it acetrebo, i agree the chip is more power for the dollar, in terms of sound you'll definetely hear the stuck noise as you accelerate, when you shift the closes thing i can think of would maybe be the sound of a shot of the air hose on a compressor. i had a buddy like duct tape or somehow jokingly put a duck call on the inside where the dv hose comes back into the intake on his a4 so on shift it sounded like a duck quack, but after about 1 mile it fell off. ah good times though.

 

I wonder why do people change intake if it is mainly for the sound?

 

Either just for the sound, or because they actually beleive the typical "10-15 hp increase" BS advertisements.

 

Kinda like getting an exhaust right? $500-$1,000 for it to sound better and be lighter. yet its essential if you mod cars. And I really don't understand all the hating on the way he mods the car. The carbonio is straight baller, yet this is the same forums that had a sticky for "swiss cheesing your air box" yeah that’s not ghetto, lets cut holes in the airbox, then cover it with chicken wire. You guys should all start posting on the zine so you get a reality check

It went ******* great. The instructions were awesome and I slapped on the DV while I had the intake out. It sounds great and I noticed the turbo does kick on a bit faster and harder. Great upgrade IMHO.

Oh, and this "kid" does have a chip, had you bothered to read my signature. I'm well aware that a chip would have been a better first upgrade, but seeing as how I already did it...

Not trying to get an attitude with anyone, but I think its a bit fucked up that because I have a post count in the teens you all assume i'm some ricer noob. I know my way around a car and I believe i'm on the right track to hooking this one up.

i had an s-10 with 5" 7" lowering, k&n intake, granitelli maf, throttle body spacer, 40 series flowmaster, 25% tint, b&m short throw
