Default new lights

Hi everyone, I've had my A4 for a year now, it's a 96 model so pretty old, but I love it. The bodywork and interior is in mint condition but the front lights have seen better days. So I would like to replace them, perhaps in keeping with the modern style. I've searched the internet for A4 replacement lights without much success. So if anyone could offer me any advice I'd be very grateful.

It depends what you want to do. If you arent' afraid of a little cutting you can upgrade to the one pice headlights foun on 1999.5 model years. Even better is to upgrade to the headlights offered in Europe called "Ecodes". They have an awesome light projection 10x better than your current lights.

Here's mine:

Hi, thanks for the quick response. I'm afraid I'm a real amateur when it comes to cars. When you say 'cutting' what exactly does it mean? And those lights look great.

on the older A4's there is a lip like this that must be ground down with a dremel or similar tool:

These lights can be bought from ECS Tuning.

There are also two piece replacement that look like the projectors I showed you but are not of very good quality. They have been known to have condensation problems. You can find them at ProCarParts

Thanks a lot. This looks like a really interesting option. A friend of a friend is a mechanic so I'll see what kind of quote he can give me. I wouldn't try it myself as I've got 5 thumbs on each hand. Again, many thanks.
