I have never been a fan of carbon fiber hoods on any car other than black (and not really even then) from afar the black hood and the rest of the car dont match. As far as the headlights.. i know what you mean about money.. i need to upgrade my stock 2-peices to some 1-peices or some Ecodes. I think the biggest improvement would be the headlights.. not the frame .. who cares about the frame... hell sand it .. paint it.. your done... try audizine.com and vwvortex.com they might have some xeon assemblies.

I'd say sell the hood, use that money to buy some lights, and suspensions, then get some sideskirts and paint ur rear valence...then suspercharge it

The cars worth a real dec amt. It only has 48K miles and all factory options. Plus all of that work was done only like 3 weeks ago. How about selling it and working off of a 99.5 1.8t. That way I can actually see some decent response to performance parts.

 

Honestly I would keep that option open. The 1.8t is sooo tunable, it would suck to get a lotta money invested in the 2,8 and then get frustrated with the performance results (no offense to 2,8 owners..i have one too)

Hmmmm....that's a good idea. You could part it out if you have the stock things, buy a left headlight or whatever you need to have done and then get a 1.8T. I think the car looks kinda cool, except I don't like the hood, but don't let internet people govern your tastes.

But yeah, if you're so inclined, your idea is a good one.
