If you had some light tint on your windows already, and then you had 50% tint installed, you would then have a betterthan 50% tint. For your car to be certified at 50% then itshould only be 50%, so either your car was not tinted to begin with, or the shop put in some lighter tint than 50%. Now I am not sure how many different percentages of tint are even available, but if your car has a light tint of say 75% from the factory and you have 50% tint installed on top of that, you're looking at a 25% tint. I have a buddy who's 06' Saab had some super light tinting in the windows from the factory that he was unsaware of. He then had 35% (the legal limit in MA)installed on all of his windows. He was pulled over and ticketed when the cops' light-meter read something like 30%. He is currently battling the tint shop as they "assured" him his set-up was legal.

That is a really interesting situation that you have brought up. I asked the shop to put on 50% and he provided me a certificate that the tint he put on was 50%, but the question now is, would a light meter read something otherwise? I'll need to look into that. Thanks.

I replaced those bulbs. I use needlenose with the attacment to get the screw out. It was hell to get it started but once it did it was fairly easy to get out. U just have to apply alot of pressure to the screw. Not much more advice i can give. Tint looks good i got 5% all the way around. Minus the front window.
