have someone else rev the engine and let off, while you look around under the hood and under the car and isolate the location of the noise.

So, this morning i'm driving to work and my CEL went on solid this time atleast, got it scanned and it returned error P0422 which is catalytic converter, so i think that is related to the rattling/buzzing sound i was hearing... good stuff.....i found online for around 275.00.... does this seem right or am i missing somethin?

would it be feasable to just replace the whole exhust with a custom one instead of just putting on the new cat?

yes you could do a full custom exhaust but the CAt would still have to be replaced if its bad
