Well I dont know, thats how my car always been since I installed the Boost gauge.
I know my car have a K03 turbo but with the K04 Spindle...maybe thats why?
Is anything wrong with the boost?? It peeks to 9psi...

 

The vac line must be crunched some where in your vent becuase at idle you should be around 18-22hg

 

What did you use to cut the hole in ur vent?

 

No the hose is perfect not crunched...as soon as I got the gauge before instaling I connected to test it out from the outside...and it was the same at idle. couldit be a boost leak?

to cut the vent is a pain in the butt, I tried the drill, tried many stuffs, the best is a filler...

 

If it's not around 20 in Hg at idle (800 rpms), you have a vacuum leak or the gage is bad.
I liked the red better...

 

This sucks...hope is an easy fix and not the gauge...
