Default new sound

i noticed that when i go over speed bumps i hear a shock squishing type sound. is this normal?

I assume that it is coming from the front?

yeah...b6 under 30k. i might just be too overly perceptive. its like you can hear the shocks working....

i'm about to change my location and i just wanted to get everything squared away before departed.

who knows, bring it in to them, tell them to have a look. Sounds are the most difficult thing to get help with over a forum I wonder why... lol

My car has also been making that noise recently.. its a squish skqueeeeeek sound when i hit a bump or something.

how much is it to fix?

Well if it is a control arm issue expect $70 for parts and $100-200 in labor. Perhaps it is a lower control arm issue that will be addressed with the recall.

70 for parts, or 700? Cost my dad about a grand to do his, on his 96. (cdn dollars -- hold your jokes!)

If you are just replacing ONE control arm then yeah around 70 or so.
