new suspension
So I've got my H&R springs with bilstein shocks now but I'm havin a hard time finding a place to install them for less than $450. Is it usually that expensive to install these? The cheapest place that gave me an estimate of $450 (including alignment) is an Audi specialist so I'll prolly end up goin there I guess. I'm just wondering if anyone's had them done for cheaper (that didn't do it themselves)...
I just did mine myself... and honestly, 450 doesnt sound so bad at all with allignment! It took me a long time, I had to drill out a bolt... oh yeah, it was a party.
Make sure that when they do it, you provide two new bolts for the knuckle that holds the two upper control arms (front end of the car). they are 10x100mm bolts, and 75% of them is shouldered, with only about 25 mm of threads.
Also make sure they grease them when they reinstall them... If they put the old bolts back in, and you ever need more work done (ie: control arms) then it will be a nightmare.
