Default New Tires :-)

Got new tires today

I got the Dunlop Winter Sport M3's, I was trying to decide between the P Zero Nero's and the M3's , and went with the m3's for the snow traction in winter. Has anyone had these before?? what do you think about the wear and traction for "spirited" driving on dry/wet pavement?? I'm a little nervous about that, since here in Washington snow isn't in the city very much.

Winter tires often have softer rubber... so they can wear out quickly on dry/wet pavement. What kind of treadwear rating does the tirerack survey give them? That'd be a great indicator.

It said N/A so dunno, but it rated the treadwear at an 8.4 on the point version... which was right there with the nero's

Haha, well don't do any crazy driving on them, and they'll be fine Also, be sure to swap back to summer tires asap, don't be one of those lazy people that you see with their winter tires still on in June.

I have a set of the M3's also. I had them on my car from late last year to late August this year. I was deployed from May-July. They have almost no wear on them. As they are winter tires, they don't grip that well on the turns. Like Headshok said, asa long as you don't go ludicrous speed and go crazy, you'll be fine.
