New Wheels...recommendations?
$500 used they needed work but they had no curb rash, scratches or anything.. They were oxidized from 1 season on the previous owners car. I wet sanded them starting with 400 to 600,800,1000,1500,2000 grit. then polish compound scratch remover then mothers brand wheel polish. It was about 4-5 hours work but I did it while i was getting paid at work so actually I made $ to work on my wheels.
they look good dude
but yeah...money is kind of an issue for me, since im only 17 with a minimal job (350-400 a month)
its kinda hard to pay for the stuff i want, like a chip, new exhaust, coilovers...
and plus...i already had to get a new axle...front right cuz it was making a clunking noise coming out of turns and accelerating...
got that fixed, now the noise is back and i think its the rear axle doing it this time...so will have to pay for that

If you're trying to save money as a starving student to do things like a chip and your axle, one thing you might consider if the others are stockis perhaps doing a junkyard run and just finding a rim that way - that $800 for a new setturns into $100. I had the same thing happen when I was young, active dutymilitary, and poor(typical combination) and was about to spend like 2 grand on a new set of wheels and rims, but they were special ordered andtook so long to get there that I ended up wising up and cancelling and spending it on other things for the car. One of the best non-expenditures I ever made...
yeah ive tired looking for a replacement...no luck...and plus the rim is discontinued...so i cant just go out and buy one...
i dont rally like chrome anyway...i was gonna get a new set regardless...
