I havea 1999 A4 2.8 Quattro, now i've herd alot about the 2.8 being difficult to mod and upgrade, im really new to this upgrading buisness, is there anything i can add to my 2.8 to make it faster , but thats not to expensive, any suggestions? dont use and big terms like i said im new to this and i probably wont understand all the little terms, please bare with me, any links to products would help alot aswell as details list of everything i'd need and prices ranges for each; nothing to high end!

Im not too into the 2.8 so i dont know what you can do. However I have seen post after post about modded 2.8's, I just never pay attention to them. Do a search.

Theres no such thing as a cheap Mod for a 2.8 that you will notice and that is worth the money. I suggest just saving and getting a supercharger! Then be happy. Maybe springs, rims and that kinda stuff

3-5 thousand i believe. Not cheap. Just go trade your car for a 1.8t. Then the modificationdoor becomes wide open.

 

man that blows, there arnt even chips for 2.8? i guess my money will be heading to the exterior and sounds system

 

they make chips for it but...you wont notice the difference just get exhaust and supercharger if you really wanna be crazy.

 

Well, there is a chip for the 30v 2.8 (like yours). I think GIAC makes it. Doesn't add much, though. At the top of the A4 section there are several threads which say TOP next to them. There are two of these which you should check out: the one that says Audi Links, and the one that says GOOD THREAD LINKS (New Members Start Here). Also, the search function is of great value. for sure im not doing the supercharger, ummm how much is an exhaust? any suggestions on the best kind? and about how much wud an exhaust add?
