my girlfriend did not completely tighten her gas cap last time she filled and the check engine light went on. I disconnected the battery to reset the computer, as I've done in my jeep, and it cleared the check engine light, but now the radio does not work. Whats the secret to get the radio working, it was fine before I pulled the battery.

check your manual, it should have the radio code in there in that little booklet

 

Yep. Gotta get the radio code. If you don't have it, you'll need to go to the stealership and have them get the code. Pray that you don't have to because it could cost up to $110 for them to fix it.

 

Would this cause static? Since I bought my car I have had poor reception. Would this be b/c I need to reset the radio code. (I noticed I had to set the time and date. Being this is a used car I am assuming that the battery was disconnected at the dealer).

 

No it wouldnt cause static..the code is only to protect it from from jacking ur radio. Your getting static for a different reason....i get static sometimes when my defroster is on.

 

is there tint on the car? if so some tint causes static because the antenna is in the back glass. they offer a more expensive tint that is supposed to not cause static

 

No tint as of yet. I'm thinking of going w/ XM anyway...huge O&A fan.
