Default Newb to exhaust

i'm planning on getting an exhaust this week, and i think i want to go custom to save some $

since i'm running a k03, and prob wont go BT (best ill do is a ko4 in the near future) i'm prob going to go 2.25 - 2.5in mandel bent, but should i buy the muffler myself and if so where should i go for it

also, what should i look for / avoid in a custom exhaust???

i've searched audizine and the forums for a while, but havent exactly found what i'm looking for... any help would be GREATLY appreciated

THANKS!

go 2.75" thats what most aftermarket exhausts are. Avoid $10 fart can mufflers commonly found on ebay. Go fora magnaflow, borla, or some other quality muffler since the custom piping wont be too expensive.
My milltek is 2.75" and i have a k03 and its perfect imo.. Much better performance.

+1 magnaflow

Great sound. I have 2 of them with my 3" custom setup.

Buy them from ebay, you'll save a lot.

my 3" custom setup.
Is 3" too loud? I got a 2.8 so it might be different on your car...

I like borla but for a DP check out techtonicstuning they make a nice 2.5 and wither get a HFC or a testpipe to get the biggest gains
