Yeah I would to. Just remember the timing belt thing. Ask them if it has been done and if they say no, see if you can get it a little cheaper. As for miles it's good. I bought mine with about 89K on it and I have 97,500 now. I just upgraded the turbo and got it chipped and a bunch of other stuff and it still runs like a charm! Nothing wrong with it now and I don't think I will have anything wrong with it for a while now since all the major stuff is fixed and/or upgraded. Hope this helps! Let us know what you decided.

other than it not being a manual (and that's just personal preference) it looks good to me.

have them replace the timing belt first. mileage is not a problem on these cars cuz they basically run forever. and if u don't want as many problems i would recommend a 2.8 for ya. and im thinking ur not gonna do alot mods right?

And when you tell me to tell them to replace the belt, What should i say? .. Should i tell them straight up.. Before buying it should i be like yea can you replace the belt?.. Or should i buy it and tell them its messed up and they could fix it.

My 2000 A4 1.8T tip is now at 190K miles, the last 100K chipped.

1. Likely the car doesn't have leather, but has Audi "leatherette", which looks pretty close to leather, but is vinyl.
2. Before you buy any high mileage used car, take it to a garage that specialized in Audi/VW and have them check the car out. Worth the money as insurance. Make sure he checks the oil pressure and these cars will develop engine sludge if not properly taken care of.
3. You will need to change the timing belt, water pumpand associated hardware ASAP. Parts are about 300 and labor will be anywhere from 400-600 dollars.

Figure on several hundred more dollars to change out the transmission fluid, gear oils in the front center and rear differentials, change the power steering fluid with Pentosin 11S, and bleed the brakes. You don't know how the previous owner treated the car so start with fresh.
Don't forget a carfax
Top up the battery with distilled water and you are good to go.

I would doubt that a private seller will get the timing belt done just because you want him to. If it is a dealer, then there is a chance they might, but then they most certainly won't budge on the price. if you do buy it, you still have abot 10-20k miles to go before the reccomended timing belt change. People just say that you should change it ASAP just to be on the safe side..... Maybe a tech guy can give his .02
