Default newbie - 03' audi a4 3.0 quattro

i plan on installingeibach springs into my b6. from what i understand this lowers the car 1.2" front/rear.i also plan to put on 18x8 rims, what I'm tryin to figure out is what size wheel spacersi shouldput on so the tire is flush with the fender? is 5mm to little? 8mm not enough? i have no clue.also are there any other mods i should consider while doing this job?

Im pretty sure I have 18x8 wheels and but its not lowered..But i didnt need spacers..you could just get like 225 sized tires vs 245(which is oem)

But dont listen to me...i know nothing about suspension.

You don't want spacers if your lowering the car, contacting the fender with the wheel isn't the nicest way to blow a tire. [:'(]It will look pretty damn decent with lowering springs and 18X8 wheels, trust me.

Yeah you can just throw springs in, and no your struts won't blow after 10k miles.
It would increase the chance of your struts leaking fluid, but they would still last 100k or better, un-less you hit one hell of a pot hole.

I'm still deciding whether to install just springs or go all out w/ a coilover kit. more than likely i'll spend the extr loot and get the kit.
