Default NEWBIE!!!NEWBIE!!!!

hey i just purchased a 2002 audi a4 1.8T...this is my first time on this forum...i am very excited about this car and have a few basic questions...i do know how to use the search feature but was hoping one knowlegable person, which i am sure there are ton's of, could answer a few basic questions i am sure you guys get all the time, and save me alot of time searching a million posts...

my car is bone stock and would like to do all the basic bolt-on's...i am assuming this would include a new hi-flow filter, cat back, chip and boost controller...

could someone tell me if this is right, the choices they think are right for a car that's going to be a daily driver and the prices plus hp and torque gain...

i know it's probably somehere on here..thank you very much and i am looking forward to getting to know the forum...

Take a look at https://www.audiforums.com/m_55694/tm.htm

Browsing those sites should answer your questions as well as give you the ability to buy what you need.

Hey man, first of all welcome to the wonderful world of Audi's. For the first upgrade i would say chip it. its gonna give you nice hp and torque gains, and alot more responsiveness.

well i dont know how hard it could be to search, but ill help you anyway, i just wanted to tell you that a boost controller is not necessary, if you chip your car, most manufacturers have extra options to return to stock through the cruise control switch, just get a boost gauge to watch your boost, and replace that dv with one like forge or stratmosphere

that sounds good. you dont need a boost controller how ever it will help out with keeping asteady boost limiting spikes. get a k&n drop in filter there is no need for a cia. cat back exhaust is a good idea and deff teh first thing is a chip. dont do a boost controller first or you will run lean and screw your car.
