i plan to buy a used car 1.8T year 2000, any advise for me?
i mean "are there some common problem happen in this car?"

I have an 01 1.8T. Not sure if these are common problems. Within a couple of weeks of buying it, found a leak at the back of the transmission. Also, found water marks on driver-front and passaenger-rear door posts. My mechanic thinks it's from a one-time clog in the sun-roof drains. Otherwise, it's a really great car, and a HOOT to drive. Hope that helps.

Check to see if the Tbelt has been done needs to be done about 70k preferable less than that, service reccords are helpful so you know everything has been well maintained, Audi's are great cars as long as you keep them maintained which at times can be costly

 

oil sludge is a big thing

 

Yea make sure thay have been running synthetic
