So i sent my ecu into Imagine Auto Inc. in Kansas City to get the ko4 programming. The guy called me back and said that GIAC doesn't make programming for 2000 A4. This doesn't make any sense, I can't imagine people are only dropping ko4's in '01 and up A4's.

 

AWE sells a K04 kit w/GIAC software. You may want to try another dealer in you area.

well the thing is that i already have the ko4 installed, so i don't want to buy the whole kit, just the software. Plus, i've already purchased the ko3 91-oct software from this place, so i wont i lose my discount on the k04 software if i go somewhere else? The guy said that they make the software for the 170 hp '01, but not for the 150 hp '00, I really don't know what to make of all this.

 

well i got to the bottom of all this, i called my local AWE tuner and he contacted GIAC and they said that the guy at Imagine told him it was a golf, so they do in fact make software for an '00 A4. The one thing the guy said to me was that i will need a 5-Bar fuel pressure regulator. Is this right? and if so how do i go about getting that done.

Well I haven't been talking to GIAC, and the guy that i've been talking to at Imagine is out for the day, plus he hasn't been too helpful thus far. I'm just wondering what my car comes with stock, and if i'll need to buy new parts, or whatnot.
