So my car has been making a popping sound when i take off or accelerate. This sound happens when i'm traveling slowly, taking off, going in reverse or forwards. Its coming from the back left. I was hoping it would go away after i did my pads and rotors but no dice. Any ideas? I've had this car for about 6 months and the noise has been there most of the time. I had 2 rear wheel bearings replaced when i got it. The noise sounds like metal but with a certain "pop" to it. Maybe i'll record a sound clip... Any ideas?

its a quattro so check the fluid level on the rear Axel next would be the suspension for broken springs

 

I was just in there doing the breaks, i would have seen the broken spring... i hope. How do i check axle fluid level?

 

Do you have aftermarekt springs? if so, onf of them could have twisted and could be making the popping noise you hear... it happened on my integra once, so thats why I thought of it.

 

Good suggestion, it has stock sport suspension. I'll check that out too.
