its running higher boost than a regular k03 right?
yea it is.

notice how the k04 just has larger inlets and a different turbine.

lol :-\ if you think his turbos are so small would you put ur a4 up against his s4? lol i understand that the turbos are the same size but i mean still its running higher boost than a regular k03 right?
Nah, I recognize that a k04'd S4 is a fast machine. My A4 is k03 equipped, so pretty much slower than many animals indigenous to my hometown, like birds and prairie dogs. Also the faster varsity sprinters at my school. I was just playing with you. They are small, though. Like I said, two well-placed ********* and your cousin's S4 is an n/a 2.7T.

Since the only difference between a K03 and a k04 is the compressor wheel, I'd imagine that increased boost pressure is what nets the horsepower increase, especially since a K03 is out of its efficiency range at like 18-19pi. But I'm not really an expert. I doubt it's simply CFM, since the compressor housings are the same, and it doesn't make sense (to my puny intellect, anyway) that a K04 could flow 40hp-worth more air at the same boost.

Feel like getting beat again Jeff? Maybe I should come down to Texas so I can run 40 psi too ha.. then we'll see who will win. Just be listening for my duck call blasting in your window as I pass.

been running an ssq for two years now and no problems

it is all about adjustment and using vag scope on our cars to monitor air flow. once setup right it will mimic the capabilities of say a forge dv.

i have mine blowing to atmosphere. the main problems is if the diaphragm is setup wrong you will sound like a train (which is causing severe turbulent air)
