im thinking about getting some octane booster but once u pour and use one bottle when do u have to use another one?

 

if you use it once, your ecu will think you are using that fuel, and will set up accordingly. keep changing your octane rating, and the ecu will get in a huff. Thats what I was always taught, anyway!

 

it would require you to add the boost every tank to get the same results.. you really shouldnt need it unless you upped your compression though

 

its probably fine for trackdays, or drag strips, but a bit pointless for everyday running...

 

Commercial octane booster (eg 104+) may raise your octane by 1 point, but that is all.

To really boost octane you either need gallons of toluene or racing fuel.

 

Yeah no kidding. Those octane boosters are a scam. They really do NOTHING.

 

Your ecu will not have a huff, mix up toulene if u want to boost octante, and run all the timing u want.

 

Octane booster is a sham. Don't buy it cuz it does absolutely nada.
Adding a small bottle 104 octane will not even raise a 15gallon tank by one point.
More like .30 of a point.

Just don't buy too much Toluene at one time - lest you want the FBI to start investigating you. I am not joking.

104 onto 91, will prolly raise it more then .30. First of all, thats doesnt make sense,no one adds 104 to a full tank of pump, thats pointless. People add toulene and 104 to pump at the track, when they have 2 to 4 gallons of gas in the car, thats the whole point when to add, to get the highest octane reading, so timing doesnt retard, and u can run alot more boost.
