Offset question... need help
Hello everyone,
I have a 2004 Audi A4 3.0 with the UltraSport package. I'm looking at a set of winter rims and they're 17x8 so I'm believe my 225/45/17 snow tires will fit but the offset is 35mm and I've been told by my dealer they they won't fit on the car. They say I need a 38 offset, but when I search any online tire shops they all seem to indicate that the 35mm offset will fit.
Any thoughts..... I'd appreciate any advice that you guys have.

It seems to me that 35mm offset is pretty standard in aftermarket wheel fitments that I've seen for the B6. I have 8.5 wide rims with a 38mm offset and they fit great. At only 8 inches wide you should have no problems.
You can always get an accurate measure of a particular fitment when compared to your current wheels from this offset calculator: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

I was thinking the same thing. What can 3mm really do. However, the dealer insists that they won't clear the brakes. Aren't the brakes on the UltraSport the same as the brakes on any other A4 (of the same model year).
