Someone didn't get all the bolts tight on the vibration dampner, don't drive it either, you don't want that pulley flying off.

The vibration dampner is whats bolted to the crankshaft to keep it in balance, if its not bolted on correctly it will act the same as a wheel out of balance. The wheel will vibrate the car at 40-50 mph or whatever, and your problem is the car vibrates when the engine reaches 1500 rpm.
There is a total of 8 5mm allan bolts on the vibration dampner so its easy to miss a few. You might be able to get at it from the bottom of the car, but usually you have to take off the bumper and put the lock carrier in service position.

ironman, it is kinda related questions ))

dombombBMX, i've got a stage III clutch + resurfaced stock flywheel, and probably after 1000 miles it has started. And i guess it has been already for about 3000 miles. I think one of my engine mounts has to be replaced, i'm going 034.

so you just been driving it with this vibration?? i mean i dont have much of a choice to drive it for a bit intill i get it fixed. it only vibrates a little bit and only at 1500rpm and im rarely at that rpm only when starting and it just zips by and the rest is smooth sailin..

do you guys think my mechanic should fix this for free sense its his mistake.? well hes going to kinda have to cause im pretty much broke at the moment
i just payed 1271$ for all this work. thanks peepz
