How do you take off this part in the pic? I want to paint it black becasue its wearing out pretty bad.. maybe even the crome around the shifter..

its the part around the shifter.. like the base of the thing.

And what the hell is it called? Im so foreign..

screws are under the gear shift gaiter that just lift out

just pull it up. pull from teh back and lift it up it will just pop off
