Default Oil

I bought a 2009 A4 with around 20k miles. It is my first Audi and I love it. I had the first service done on it an no problems were disclosed. I have had to add oil twice (light comes on saying to add a quart) since that service or approx 4-5k miles. I have searched for info on this and have found some, but it seems that some people think having to add oil is a problem and others don't. I know the car supposedly "uses" oil. I just want to make sure I am ok. The car is certified so if there is an issue, I obviously want it taken care of before the warranty expires. It just seems strange to me that I have to add oil.

Thanks for any help.

If you are adding oil at around 1000 mile intervals, this is excessive. Have the dealer do the oil consumption test. Mine failed and Audi rebuilt the motor. 2009's are known for this issue. Still a great car.
