Friday morning im going on a 400mile road trip to Buffalo to check out the University of Buffalo...i just realized that i havnt had my oil changed in like 3500 miles...and i usually do it every 3000....yea..i know..stilll havnt masterd the art..and i go to the dealer...but getting an appt at any of my like 5 closest dealers takes weeks...soo..i have a Valvoline quick oil change place thingy nearby..and i called and the guy said its $55 for synthetic oil, which is what audi uses...soo...is it safe to go to Valvoline...or put another 800 miles on my car w/o the change?

you don't have to go to a dealer, but you shouldn't go to a jiffy lube either, unless you're sure that the guy knows about audis. what types of oil not to use, sometimes they'll top off your fluids as a "courtesy" or promotion and they put the wrong **** in, bad things can happen...

 

You'll be fine, you don't need to change your oil that often with synthetic anyway.

Yea you'll be find till you get back. It really is a 5 min job though. I dont even jack my car up to do it

LOL I'm just pretty damn skinny..140lbs and I dont have that stupid under tray thing, I have an alluminum skidplate which is easy to take off

 

daymn...lol....yea..one day i'll figure it out..or just read one of my old threads asking for directionshow to do it....
