Ok, I have absolutely no knowledge in auto mechanics. But I went to day to purchase new transmission fluid to replace. Now I have no idea how to change it. Correction, I just lied. I have an idea because the guy in Autozone showed me (in a book). There was oneplug to drain the transmission fluid. Then he said plug that back up when empty then there was another plug that I fill it up at. Now, I do not want to make a mess of my car so, I decide to take it to Midas right next to Autozone for them to change the fluids. They said $126. I was amased. Then I said that I have my own fluids and all I need for you to do is just replace the old with the new. He said, "oh, that would be $96. Because itis an Audi."Huh?

To me, all it seems one needs is to elevate the car to get to plug, drain it and then replace with new fluid. $96????????????? I paid $21 for the oil.

Anyways, went to other shop and they charge $80 per hour labor since I told them I have my own fluid. This is starting to bug me out by now.

Then light bulb. I stop at my freinds job as he works in Toyota dealer shop. I drove over there and they said he called out for work. So, I stop by his house and ask him if he could change it. He said yeah, "he will do it for $5". That is basically a bag of...............................green tea.

So, I am also going to inquire on how to change oil also and filter. But $96 for just the changing of transmission fluid when I already have the fluid is just outrageous. I was thinking like $40 tops. I was wwwaaayyyy off.

Yea welcome to audi world...people think just because we own an audi we have $$$
thats why you learn how to do stuff to your car doing yourself. I never changed the transmission fluid but shouldnt be hard, do a search and do it yourself.

another thing, is that really your friend? to change a light bulb $5?? wow
i dont charge anything to my friends when they need help with their cars.

It takes much more than that to offend me bro. Don't even worry about it. Save the sorries when there is something really to be sorry about. Peace!
