No. I recommend doing it yourself. It's relatively easy and you'll save a few dollars. If you can't or don't want to, take it to a local european mechanic.

If youre lazy go to the dealer. its 60-70$ there and out the door in 45 min with a washed car.
Dont take it to any of those quick lube places they will destroy your car.
If you know any european techs in the area, take it to them as well.

20 minutes work. Do it yourself or go to the dealer if you've got cash to burn.
Never JiffyLube, et al.

Kind of a related question:

In a couple weeks, I'll be changing my oil on my own for the first time. So here's my question: What do you do with the old oil?

rccks96, your town should have a recycle center, or bring it to a gas station.

Whats wrong with taking it to a local lube place...

ITS A F*CKING OIL CHANGE. I pay $40 bucks for royal purple.. takes them 15 minuets or so.. in and out the door. Nice guys to, always asking me about my mods

Do it every 3.5k.. no issues so far, put almost 10k on the car.

I use the local Jiffy Lube because they employ a couple friends of mine, and also there is nothing "jiffy" about it. They take about 40 minutes from start to finish and always clean my windows and floors! Yay!

If you are interested, here is a link to a little write up I did on oil change. It's very straight forward.

Some places are good. A lot of those quick lube places or 'garages' at the gas station are clueless. They have the mechanic school drop outs or the guys with no training at all. People recommend to go to a better shop just to avoid some of the dummys that really will ruin your car. Though there are dummies everywhere so still make sure your guy is using the right stuff.

rcc, I save minein a 5 gallon jug so I don't have to go get it recycled everytime. You can take it to local recycling or ask at your local Autozone or Advanced Auto. I was looking for a local place this past weekend and it showed that Advanced Auto would take it for me. How convenient since I get other stuff there anyway.
