Its Dremel off. It clips on a bulge in the metal dipstick tube. I had to get out a cutting wheel on my dremel and slice the bottom in half.

Hey I just bought the oil dipstick tube and installed it. It goes on the actual tube right? I just kind of shoved it in until it wouldnt go anymore, it seemed like it made a clip sound.I'm still getting bad oil readings though,so I looked at my dipstick and it looks broken too. Do I need to order Engine Oil Dipstick ES#5642 on the ecstuning website? I put 4 quarts and then probably an 1/8 of the 5th quart into my engine. I hope that that's enough for now.

YO? looks like my dipstick broke inside the dipstick tube so it's actually still giving me the correct height as it should if the broken part of the dipstick was still connected to the dipstick. But my oil level is pretty low and I dont have a low oil light. I put 4 and 1/8 quarts in. Is that enough? Should I keep pouring until the level is right? I hope my dipstick tube is all the way in.

order whatever parts you need from that website given, if you tell us the year and model of your car we can even tell you exactly what parts. theres a thin metal tube coming out of the engine, the orange plastic 4" tube clips onto it, just take a flat screwdriver and break off the rest of the plastic piece. take the new orange piece and connect it to the dipstick then put the dipstick in the metal tube and push down pretty hard until the plastic piece is firmly seated. i ordered a few plastic caps because they do break pretty easily and they are only 2 bucks.

also 4 and an 1/8th sounds a little low but we have no idea because we dont know what engine you have.

as people have been saying you dont need a DIY for this, it would be half a paragraph long. you remove/break off the old one and pop in the new one. whatever way you figure out how to do it is the correct way.... thats it.

the only difficult thing with doing it is getting your hand under the intake manifold to get to the pipe. if you absoloutely need pictures let me know and il take some on my car tomorow.
