There are plenty of approved oils available at any parts store. The big 3 are:

castrol 5w40
mobil 1 0w40
valvoline synpower 5w30

All will be fine to use and you can also use a bosch, mobil 1, or k&n filter.

Advance Auto Parts sometimes runs a special for a Mobil 1 filter and 5 qts (sythetic of course) for $30. That's when you stock up .

I like this ELF synthetic. Some synthetics aren't true synthetic oils, this is. Mann filters are the stock brand and are pretty much as good as any unless you get crazy and put a Mecca on.

Since you're in Upstate. I get mine from here:http://www.germanautoparts.com/
