oil light on

Default oil light on

this morning as soo as i got to work the oil light came on...it has the oil symbol w/MIN right next to it...the last time i gave it an oil change was around 5,400 miles ago...and i was gonna change it today anyways... anyone got a idea....id appreciate it

I suppose you checked the oil level?

it takes less time to check your oil then it does to post on here... your car probably burns or leaks oil... change it anyway. 5400 is alot in my eyes...... while youre down there, spend some time cleaning off any oil drips you see, then run it a little and get back under it... this will be easier to see where its leaking from if it is

oh ok thanx...yeah it is a tad bit low...i will change oil and see what happens after

Since on the subject of Oil..

Is it common for AEB 1.8T to leak oil between the engine block and the oil cooler? (of course the oil filter is on there pretty tight.)
I get some oil coming out from around there and I can't find the exact place even after cleaning everything.
The leak is not much. I only need to add about a cup for a month or so.
Is there any other possible places to leak near that place?

I plan to fix the seal (O-Ring) between the cooler and the block but couldn't remove the nut that hold the cooler last time I tried.

Anything would be appreciated.
