Ok I failed :(
I had exact o2 issues in the pass, I still had o2 errors after changing both sensors at about 50k miles.
This worked for me:
Try changing gas, I used to use Chevron, then switched to Shell V power. Here in NW they had faulty fuel issues.
I also switch back to Chevron and o2 errors again, then switched bck to Shell, then o2 errors gone.........
Like what I said this only worked for me......Audi service game me the rounds and said I had to upgrade to race gas to see if erros would erase or change my CAT........Did not listen to them..........
This is where I bought my o2 sensors from www.autopartswarehouse.com
If you guys have 2001 a4 1.8T Q, do not get o2 sensors parts from autohausaz.com they have wrong part number, they will send you 2000 and below part. I tried talking to them about fixing ther site, but they haven't, anyway Heads UP!

if worse comes to worse cut a large hole in you exhaust and give your self a massive exhaust leak, so when the hook the sniffer up to your car little to no exhasut is going out the back
Since i bought my car in april Ive only used 89 Octane & Shell & BP gasoline.
I took out my cluter unit (dashboard) Found out that theres this Yellow & Brown wire that house a bulb. I noticed that Check Engine light had no bulb **and no metal surface around it to ground bulb) So i figure the yellow & brown wire must house chec engine light. Of course that bulb was blown.
went to autozone changed it out. sure enuff lit up like a xmas tree.
I am showing no errors on dash board **only check engine** cats or anything else are not lighting.
