So this bolt is stripped to all hell, any thoughts??

aparently my hex set isn't the exact size it claims to be...



plus where am I going to find a new bolt like that other than a dealer?

 

Ouch.

Go to an audi parts place/junkyard/whatnot
and see if you can tear one off. or you can find the thread count on that bolt and see if you can get a match.

 

try pliares and see if you can get a good grip or vice grips.

 

yeah gonna give vice grips a go, just wanted to see if anyone had any other sure fire ways to get that shiz off. I'll get a bolt at the dealer if I have to, otherwise lowes/homedepot might sell one... we'll see!


its just a really awkward spot to try to grab with a pliers and then have to fit the socket wrench in there to hold the wheel.... this is gonna be tha hardest part of this project i think heh.

 

try and grind the edges into a hex...
