If they are near the same price, then the a6 is the better DEAL, because they normally would cost significantly more than the A4.

As far as which car is better, that depends on what you are looking for in the car.

A slavage title isn't a big deal if you know why it has it. My A4 had a salvage title when I bought it just because at one point it was stolen. I could care less about that, everything else about the car was in awesome condition.
