The other day my vents for heat in my dash completely stopped working, but the windshield vents and the vents near my feet still work. I was thinking it might be a fuse but then again i dont know s*it about cars. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, i tried them all, but they still don't work. And winter's coming up fast, i live in MI so i need some help asap.

my guess is either the climte control or the mechnical part of the vent. pm auditech79, he can tell u more specifics on it

 

Is the a/c control head stuck in econ?
Its probably either a bad a/c control head or flap door like hiwords said.

 

What is econ, is it the little icon that looks like a snowflake? And just to let you guys know my air conditioning doesn't work too if that means anything. I think it's the compressor.

 

Need some help here, Michigan gets pretty cold so any help would be appreciated.

 

If your a/c isn't working its stuck in econ mode, take it to the dealer or use a VAG COM to check the fault codes in the a/c control head. If the a/c system is out of refrigerant (from a leak) it will shut the a/c system into like a limp mode that only lets you do a couple of things.
You have to get the fault codes checked.

 

it's not the ac i'm worried about though, it's the heat, does the ac control head control the heat too?
