Default Opinions please... clear bra

I just got my 06 A4Q 2.0T, and I commute 100 miles daily. The roads I travel down here in S. Florida are littered with construction debris, particularly small rocks and gravel. I'd like to protect my paint job somehow, but I can't stand the fabric bras. I was thinking of either the 3M film clear bras or possibly a plexiglass mask of some kind.

Do these things work, I mean do they hold up over time and do they really prevent the paint from chipping?

Also, references to shops or online sources would be helpful.

Thank you.

I had a 3M clear bra on my last car and I definitely recommend them. Yes, they hold up and yes, they protect your paint.

they work good, You can even wax over them. I have only ever seen one that didn't look good but she didn;t take care of her car anyway

You wouldn't really be able to see it in pictures even if I had any. If it is installed properly, the only thing you can see is the seam going across the hood, but that's really only if you're looking for it since it doesn't distort the paint color beneath it in any way.

personally i dont get rock chips on my hood, so if i were to get one id just get the whole front bumper done. just cause sometimes that line across the hood isnt so discreet. but if the **** on the road is that bad, get your hood done
