Default Optimistic dreams...

Hey, first time poster here haha..

anyway, a 'little' background info. Right now I own a celica GT-S that I bought wrecked and fixed over summer, but so far I've had nothing but bad luck out of it, (so farits spun a rod bearing because my friend can't drive, killed 4 coil packs/spark plugs, mom pulled it into the garage one day and scraped the wall, the week I was going to fix that I put it in a ditch because I suck at driving still but that didn't do any damage, and not two days later I was at a friend's house and his mom backs into and doesn't say anything about it, and today the rod bearing spun again, I didn't misshift or anything this time.)
here are a few pics since I'm a picture *****, and these are before I lowered it so yeah it looks better now.

and the damage

the dents are from my anger control problems, it was just bowed out before I went ape **** on it.
and heres the damage mom did.

oh and before anyone asks, they're painted on, not vinyls

Okay, this thing has caused me nothing but anger and frustration, and I'd really like to sell it (it wouldn't be hard to make a lot of profit after I fix it again since I've only got a little less that 2500 TOTAL in it..) and take my mom's 01 A4 1.8t quattro, and let her get a new car. I would do this in a heart beat, but as much anger as it has caused I still love it, and it being my first and all just makes it all the harder to let go of...

but anyway, if I were to take her car, I'd have to give a lot more *****, I know celicas often get underestimated but a well driven one is a lot quicker than most people think, either way, I'm pretty sure its faster than my mom's car.. But anyway I'd like to get the GIAC chip, upgraded DV, test pipe (no inspection in KY FTW), an exhaust, the shift mod from GIAC (its auto ), and the ebay FMIC mod.

Would all that be worth doing to an auto? How much power would I bed getting out of this?I know the torque converter absolutely rapes the low end of these low displacement engines..

how much would all of this run me? I could install pretty much everything myself so take that into account.

thanks in advanced.

Sure all that would be worth doing to an auto. Nothing more though. Maybe a k04 turbo with tip chip, but definately not more than that without a level10 tranny upgrade.

Yeah I thought about going that route, but theres no way I could convince the parental unit to let me buy something like that (i'm only 16 and even though its my own money they still control things that I can buy, which is for the best).

But do you think it would be quicker than my celi? Also I haven't really looked around but how much do the a4's weigh? The great thing about my celi is it weighs only 2500 or so pounds.

thanks for the quick reply.

But do you think it would be quicker than my celi?
Definately.
OH NO.. Just noticed the steamed rice spoiler... Well... Take the Audi and youll be on the right track i think. To each their own, but imo stay away from spoilers that belong on F-16's or speed boats.

heh, I admit the spoiler is too big but its the smallest in that style (imo it flows well with the shape of the car/stripes)
But don't worry, I would never ever put a spoiler on this car, or graphics, or anything like that. Actually I normally don't even like graphics either but I had an r/c celica with a similiar paint job and I loved how it looked..

but anyway, what does a stock a4 do in the quarter? Like I said the celi is under-rated, a really good driver can get it as low as 14.7 stock, a decent drive will get higher 14's and low 15's.

of course.. the chip will be your main source for the extra power. Youll be at about 215ish hp with tons of torque with the chip andthose other mods.
To give you an idea, heres my 0-60 video i took the other day... Nothing too impressive being tiptronic w/stock turbo and all, but much better than bone stock (or a celica) http://media.putfile.com/00-A4-18t- See my mods bellow.

for some reason the link doesnt work when i click it, but works if i paste it in the web browswer, try that if it doesnt work for you or if you even care

the a4 isnt fast by any means... quick, yes

and an auto a4 isnt a race car either

a4= 3500 + lbs

i dont think the a4 is for you
a) because by the looks of it you would ruin a perfectly good car
(read as ) ug-nasty mods, and what appears to be lack of driving skill
b) your young so you want something fast (nothing wrong with wanting a fast car, but at what expence)
