Default Ordering FMIC

Tues. im ordering a fmic and will either get this 1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FMIC-...17936945QQrdZ1

or this 1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FMIC-...13385201QQrdZ1

The 2nd kind of confuses me though because it says 10-30 psi "working pressure". Is that saying it needs a minimum of 10 psi in order for air to flow threw?

I have heard good things about just-intercoolers, they also sell a hose/tubing kit for the A4 I think

I think your right about the hose kit, which im still thinking about. (still debating doing it myself) The fact someone has heard about them is a good sign also.

The just intercoolers on is 2.5" thick, it's the one I have and the one in the diy, it's already a squeeze behind the bumper. The 2.75" one will be harder to get it to fit. go with the second one.

This is a whole kit but with a different ic. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo...mZ250109234334

Now this is what confuses me the ic in this kit says working pressure 35-40psi. What is that? And for $50 less i can piece 1 together.

i got my core and piping off ebay. but just make sure that the piping is for the car and has lips on all the ends, or else you end up like me and have intercoller pipings falling off constantly while waiting to get lips welded onto them.

my guess would be that working pressure = max pressure ~ maybe, would be pointless to put somthing that requires that much boost onto any car. ask them - then fill us in

I didn't even think about the lipped pipes! That would of really got me fired up if i got it in the mail and was all smooth. I also now it's going to need a bit of trimmingto fit so2.5" it will be. Now all I need toknow is what working pressure is referring to.
