Dunno, I know a chic who drives a b6 who prefers the b5 style over her own. I'd say the b5 is better in all ways, esp styling!

Lets put it this way... the b6 is a nicer ride than the b5... the suspension is just plain better, and the frame is something like 40% stiffer... so yay for the b6. But look at it this way... the B5 and the B6 are like apples and oranges... the b5 is pretty much what drug audi out of the gutter, and got them where they are today. Completely different styling than the b6, and a very different ride. So the argument of b5 vs b6 is sort of dumb, because like I said, apples and oranges. What sucks about being in a b6, is that the b7 is similar, but better in every way. At least the b5 is unique! We stand alone!

EDIT: and on that same point... I see about 7 - 10 b6's a day... and might see 1 or 2 b5's. b6's are COMMON as hell.

 

cuz most people with money go for something that catches they eye, that looks good. most people dont kno the benefits of a b5 or why its good, they just kno that the b6 looks nice, and they will be noticed in traffic. imo!

 

could be true. but the reason not too many B5's, is cuzz they aint good looking. IMO

 

I already said, the b5 was the car that bailed audi out... audi had a bad rep since the 4000's and 5000's... the 90's and the 100's, although decent cars, didnt help clean their tarnished image. The A4 was a real turnaround point... although tonnes of people didnt flock out to buy the a4's, it did prove itself a great car -- the reason the b6 has done so damned well. The b5 clearly paved the way for the b6... and the rest is gravy. The b5 started it all, the b7 is the new leader (you can argue aesthetics, but not performance)... and the b6... well, doesnt seem to have anything special going for it anymore...
