over heating and coolant leak
ok i had some fun today went drifting in a parking lot (i got pics) im done and i look at my temp gauge its one bar up so im like no biggie ill drive to a gas station open up the hood and let it cool down, i notice that my coolant resivour is empty (thats not good) so i get some cheap watered down mix ( i know i have to use g12) and i pour it until the max line temps drop im like its all good. i go to my friends house chill theyre for a few minuets come out side and theyres a huge puddle as im driving back home my heat goes out and my car is steaming then my thermomater light goes on and add more coolant light too im scared now what should i do what could it be?

let it cool, and check for leaks everywhere when it gets light out. probly your t-stat, check the wp belt, check all connections and inside for possible heater core leaking.

check the floor and front for dampness, if you turn on the front defroster when the engine's warm, it will start to fog up the windshield and you should be able to smell the coolant.
the best way i found was to take off the plastic tray, go for a quick ride, then watch for where's it's dripping from.
and check for crusty red/pink colored deposits around the sides of the radiator core and all your water hoses.
the bottom of the overflow tank has a hole in it from when extra pressure has to be let off and coolant runs out of that too. a coolant resv cap cost $5, but doubt that's the problem. I just replaced my radiator, wp, t-stat, overflow resv, and resv cap.
Do a good coolant flush while you're at it.
