Been acting up like crazy lately...
When the a/c is on...it heats up about 3/4 of the way...any ideas?
I plan on changing the thermostat tonight just because it's probably never been changed and it's cheaper than anything else coolant-related.

Any links or photos of where it's located ?? I really, really appreciate any help.

Only when the AC is on? where is the guage at when the ac is off?
As long as its not buried, its within range.
It could be a bad sending unit, I think the CTS would be the culprit.
Is coolant level proper?

I had some guy @ AutoZone run the diagnostics and nothing came up...
Would the CTS come up on that?

 

Probably not. Yes, coolant temp sensor, located at rear of engine, either green or blue.

 

What does the guage run at without the AC?
Half?

 

Yeah, it's at half all the time..unless A/C is on and/or sitting...it shoots over 3/4 and climbs...
Do you know where, exactly, on the engine that the temp sensor is??
