What's the S for? I drive a tip, so what is the real point of the S on the shifter? In what situations would that be used?

it holds the shifts a little bit longer than drive, i never use it either but if your hands are tied and can't use tip you have sport.

Its "sport mode" - rev the engine higher - I used to use it alot until I got chipped and now the Tip mode is more fun...
