For those of you who have painted your lowers, how many oz's of paint did it take you.

If your car used clear, include that also if you can.

i used less then a pint of color for the color and about the same for clear... stilll have yet to post some pictures but i will do that soon
and that is not spray cans thats using a gravity feed spray gun

 

I used 4 of the big duplicolor spray cans.

 

whats the closest paint match for brilliant black?

For the lowers and abt lip on my B6 1.8T:

1 pint can of DuPont ChromaBase

2 pint cans of PPG DuraCryl Clear

The paint is a 1:2 mix with laquer thinner. The Clear is a 1:2/1:3 (depending of consistency and temp) mix with laquer thinner. This is also for use with a gun. Note: Use a water/oil trap in your air line and wear a mask, cause I got really sick. Everything cost me about $150 and the results are great. Save a few hundered. TAKE YOUR TIME.
