Painted Valve Cover *PICS*
So i decided to paint my valve cover while i was replacing my leaky valve cover gasket.
So first i pulled the valve cover scrubbed it with a wire brush, then sanded it down.
i next sprayed brake cleaner on it to get all the gunk off for painting.
I chose a custom route with audi rings and "20v" emblems(you can choose your own or copy mine..just please give me credit)
First i masked off every hole with some tape since i was useing Krinkle Coat finish

Then i painted the red part(below) with caliper paint because thats what i had and its heat resistant. i just brush on a few coats.

Above) I also added my pre cut emblem and 20v that i had drawn on a CAD program and cut them out on to masking tape(very hard even if you have great focus so take your time)
My plan was to stick those emblems over the red and paint over it with black Krinle Coat then peal away the masking to reveal the emblems.

it turned out great and was worth my time. here are a few pics for you guys and remember if you copy my ideai dont car..just give me credit. Thanks and enjoy

im pretty sure no one is going to replicate that. Plus i never seen someone so starved for wanting credit. Expecially since your not the first to even perform the task
show me another with the rings and 20v..i searched and searched for one before i did it but didnt find anything....and honestly i could care less..give me credit or not...ill just be glad your happy with maing the engine bay look a little better
Did you notice that the hard pipe running around your engine bay to the regulator in your intake goes to the other side of the engine for VENTILATION? Not to mention it matches the chart i posted for you and even told you whats what?
BTW, those wire loom covers are tacky.

ya the looms will be gone...they are actually still on there from the previous owner...who decided to take all the zip-ties off and use these..just something i need to do.
and ya i wasnt arguing with you about the chart...i was saying that i dont have a valvecover "breather" pipe coming out the back

I cant stand those ricer red wire looms. But the cover looks pretty good. The quality of paint seems like its lacking but you did a good job. Please just get rid of the red looms.
