Paintedlowers ?
On your particular color of silver, you can use Duplicolor's Radiant Silver which you can buy at any auto parts store. There is a DIY here: www.audidiy.com
I just noticed that my bumper had a diffrent color lower but looks ok since its like 2 tone black/dark greyish black... Anyone with a black car paint lowers???? how did it look?
I just did my first painted lowers on another members silver B6 A4. I used duplicolor which matched perfectly, but you have to know how to prep it. I see a lot of people using flex agent to adhere to the plastic surface of the lower bumpers, this is a mistake. It will work but it will look rough and won't have any real depth to the paint job.
I took off the bumper, seperated the lower from the upper, masked off the rest of the car and sanded down the lowers with 400 grit sandpaper, then appied my first layer of primer.
Applied another coat of primer then wet sanded it lightly with 600 grit sand paper, this will give it a glossy finish before paint.
Apply light coats of silver paint (3 coats looks best), after its all dry apply 2-3 coats of clear, the more clear coat you use the morereflective the paint will appear. The stock paint job has 3 coats of clear.
