Painting the wood trim

Default Painting the wood trim

Has anyone ever tried just taking out the wood trim and painting it yourself, do u think i would be a good idea if i did?

well from a previous post on replacing the trim.. Jest stated that it was a PITA... so taking it off and painting it yourself to put it back on.. well if you really want to and have some extra time.. but i would suggest going and getting an extra set off of ebay or something and painting that... just in case you mess it up.. your not driving around without that trim, that would look pretty haggard but seriously what color?

no idea about what color i would paint it i get my audi tomorrow so im just trying to figure out what i can do now before i even have the car. I looked at some stuff on ebay but that all looked kinda of sketchy. and i dont have 114 bucks to blow.

just leave it for now.. The only thing i think would look good is the brushed aluminum look.. IMO if you paint it some color that isnt subtle it might give it that "ricey" image... and that is something you should try and avoid with your audi.. what year and model are you getting?

yea i was looking at trim kits and there was all that riced out crap that what im trying not to go for.

that wouldnt look that bad if it was brushed aluminum.. or maybe a softer color that matches the cars interior

Brushed Alum much >

If you paint it though, dont paint every little piece... mix painted/brushed alum that might look sweet...

If it isn't hard to remove and reinstall the trim, I have a brush alluminum that I would
like to trade for wood trim. I like it to be luxury not racy
